"Read
for a Lifetime" is the only statewide reading
program targeting high school students. The primary goal of the
program is to promote the enjoyment of reading, by encouraging
students to read both classic and contemporary literature. Students
participating in "Read for a Lifetime" must read at
least four books from the Illinois State Library's designated
titles list, by April 1, 2008. http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/library/whats_new/rfl.html
